What is health coaching?

Health coaching is all about collaboration between client and coach. The client is in the driver's seat and ultimately decides what area(s) of wellness he or she would like to focus on.

What areas of wellness can a health coach help me with?

Hannah Ewing, NBC-HWC, CHWC, takes a whole-person approach to coaching and will work with you in any or all of the following areas: nutrition, exercise, weight management, life satisfaction, energy levels, overall health, and emotional well-being.

What is the difference between a health coach and a counselor?

Coaches work with clients to uncover their strengths in the present which will lead to amazing growth for their future. Counselors primarily work with clients to uncover the problems in their past which have led to their present struggles.

Isn't a health coach like a dietician?

Not really. While a health coach can help you achieve your nutrition goals or be a part of your weight loss journey, the coach will not prescribe a certain diet or tell you exactly what to do. Instead, you and your coach will work together to set specific goals around habits you decide are priorities.
